Epson have released two great printers that have been built from the ground up with retail labelling in mind – The Epson C3500 and C7500G, the little and big brothers of pigment based label printing.
The Epson C3500 is a high quality and exceptionally reliable small pigment based label printer that is capable of producing up to 3000 labels per day. With a 360dpi resolution, images come out crisp and with a maximum printable width of 4” and print speed of 4” per second respectively, it is the perfect solution for any small scale tea or coffee shop owner who wants to produce their own labels.
The Epson ColorWorks C7500G is the industrial variant of the C3500. It has an impressive 600dpi resolution which makes it perfect for any labels with small text levels that need to be easily legible, or you may simply want the eye-catching effect of a high resolution label on your tea or coffee packaging - the Epson C7500G provides this and a lot more. The C7500G can print up to 4” wide labels at an extremely quick 12” per second, allowing you to produce tens of thousands of labels per day!
Why print my own coffee and tea labels?

It is often an iterative process littered with trial and error, and these errors from a labelling perspective can end up being very expensive. Coffee roasters and tea merchants often have a vast portfolio of products at any given time, with typically large variations in the amount supplied. A unique feature of the Epson C7500G is the addition of PrecisionCore™, a next generation printhead technology based on micro-electro-mechanical systems (MEMS). MEMS utilises a 1 micron thin piezo actuator that effectively works as a pump, depositing up to 40 million ink droplets precisely onto your media, producing highly accurate colour reproduction and blazing fast speeds. What’s more, when this is combined with Nozzle Verification Technology, (NVT) a system which works to prevent any blockages that may interfere with print quality and printhead life, you have the complete system that can produce thousands of high quality and extremely durable labels daily for a very low cost per unit.
