With its small and lightweight form factor the Elf is tough and rugged. It is sealed to IP64 specifications, protecting against dust and water spray. It can also withstand drops from 1.5 meters to concrete. Connectivity The Datalogic Elf is equipped with Bluetooth technology, 802.11a/b/g for cost effective voice and data communication within the four walls and HSDPA UMTS (3.5G) for outside the four walls. The Elf also provides extremely fast and highly accurate positioning via assisted GPS. Features The Elf has a range of data collection options with the choice of a 1D laser or 1D/2D Imager (both come with Datalogic’s patented Green Spot good read feedback) and RFID reading capability, it has the capability to handle any scanning requirement.  The Elf is also equipped with a 3 Megapixel autofocus Camera and Flash giving the user the ability to quickly document proof of condition, signatures, or other visual support data. The Elf comes in two different keyboard configurations. There is a 46-key QWERTY layout, and a 27-key numeric keypad. Both have standard directional and phone answer/end keys.
