This model features the optimal scanning solution with a durable design with high-speed scanning that maximizes productivity for low total cost of ownership. The 1990iXR is built to withstand falls from 1 metre (3.3ft) and is tested to run smoothly despite daily knocks and drops from workstations or waist height. Granit XP XR models offer an ideal blend of no-sacrifice near-field scanning plus the expanded range to read UPCs at 1.5-meter (5 feet) and 100 mil (2.54 millimetre) rack labels at 10 meters (33 feet), addressing many warehouses distribution centre and manufacturing workflows.

The Honeywell Granit XP 1991iSR are designed with a small, deeply recessed, impact-resistant and scratch proof window to prevent failures with field feedback which is often a high frequency point for scanning devices in the industrial environment. This acts as a critical sealing component which ensures environmental contaminants like dust and moisture do not enter the case and degrade scanning performance or cause irreparable damage. The Honeywell Granit solution is engineered with IP67 sealing which remains intact, even under high levels of stress in a harsh environment.
